People have responded furiously to news that the AstralZenecol vaccine is to be removed from Irish supermarket shelves. The news came despite assurances from Bill Gates and Dolly Parton that the vaccine was completely safe and would cure all known illnesses.
Ewan Lamb of Goatstown (pictured), who wished to remain anonymous, bleated, "I am furious. Now the English will get more of this magnificent vaccine and poor Paddy will lose out yet again. This situation is really baa-d".
Protest marches are expected to take place throughout Ireland at the weekend with the aim of getting the government to reverse their irrational decision and to make AstralZenicol available to all again. When asked asked about these demonstrations, Taoiseach for Life, Leo Varadkar said, "In a democratic society people have the right to assemble and to ask questions of their government. As long as people are asking the right kind of questions, I'm happy for the protests to go ahead".
Garda UberGrupen Chief, Rolf Harris, also welcomed the protests.
